On Sunday, November 5, the Motet Choir and orchestra will present Gabriel Faure’s Requiem at the 10 a.m. service. On that Sunday we also observe All Saints’ Sunday, a time to reflect on friends and loved ones who have joined the church eternal. Faure’s Requiem is a musical contemplation in commemoration of All Saints’ Sunday. The choir and orchestra will be conducted by Matthew Culloton with Aaron David Miller on the Fisk organ. Faure’s beautiful setting of the “Pie Jesu” will be sung by Hannah Armstrong with baritone solos sung by Timothy Bruett. The Bells of Hope will provide a wind chime during the reading of the names. |
